Researchers from Afe Babalola University and Ibrahim Babaginda University were able to provide further evidence of the antidiabetic properties of java plum (Syzygium cumini) by evaluating its anti-hyperglycemic and anti-inflammatory activities. Their study, which was published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine, made use of in vivo experiments to investigate these properties.
The results were able to provide further insight into the antidiabetic activity of java plum. Researchers revealed that the java plum works by reducing blood sugar, increasing antioxidant activity, and reducing inflammation.
